I bought that 77 Jeep SJ last fall and have been courious about putting a snorkle on it for one reason, the jeep has 7" lift and is on 37" mt/r's but but no body lift the fenders were cut way back for clearence and height set so that is has no top centering. So the clearence of the tire is all I have which is good going down, and great clearence over the top except if your water and one misstake could definatley flood the carb, btw the engine is carberated 401ci not much room at all, not TBI. So any ideas

ummm actually it is easier to put a snorkle onto a carb'd motor than it is a FI'd motor.

well on alot of EFI motors, when you put a snorkle on it you have to adjust the MAFS whereas on carb'd motors it doesnt change anything other than its drawing air from a further distance.

UUuuUUUuuuhhhh.. My EFI is all automatic... My MAF sensor does just fine with a snorkel.
And... Uhmm... what do you do to get all the air to the carb as to just sucking through all the holes in the air filter area?? |

NVM the green paint, and the dryer duct. This is how you hook up a snorkle to a carbed rig.
That is a factory carb hat off of a chev with TBI, go get one from a wrecking yard (dont paint it green ). Then run your snorkle off thet. Then you need to cover the distributor with something, you havent seal it, it needs to be vented. I would run the intake through the fire wall, it will make a little noise but oh well.
