Are they tail lights only, or are they brake/tail lights?
That will make a difference in how you wire them. |

One wire is power (+) for the brake lights, the other is power (+) for the tail lights.
Does the lamp housing mount with a set of studs? If so, that's probably how they ground (-). You may also want to run a wire (with a ring terminal) to one of the studs and then ground that wire to the frame. After that, you'll need to figure out which of the two wires coming off the new lamp assembly is for the brake lights and slice it to the wire that previously controlled your stock brake lights. Do the same for the tail light wire. Test them and see if they work, and if so, be sure to seal up the splices. Last edited by Terracoma; 08-12-2008 at 07:32 PM.. |
