I am painting the blue truck.... i hope not to spend more then $50 on it. thats the plan. lol. i spent today sanding the hood, roof, and driver side bed. tomorrow will be the rest, then wetsand the whole thing. it was dark by the time i finish but i'll take pics tomorrow. got the idea from http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=476749 and http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=2331682&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1 its a roll on paint. it suppose to look pretty damn good when done as long as i prep it extremely well. i'll post pic tomorrow of what i got done today and tomorow

Nice! You gonna do put bed liner in the bed or just paint it?

Chris
08-31-2007, 02:43 PM
haven 100% decided... but i think doing spray on or roll on bed liner would be better in the long run....

lol no brad its bad...It means that the surface wasnt clean or spray gun was off ect.. could be alot of things not to bad to fix you have to wet sand it back to nice and smooth and buff it lots of work thats why ppl try to avoid it.

Chris kinda lack on the prep job... Didn't even prime the bare metal before paint. Guess you can call it a learning experience for him. I had a hard time spraying it because there was a slight wind that had great effects on the pattern of the spray. Would be nice to do it in the garage but Chris didn't/doesn't want to clean it out. lol
His soon to be mexican pimpn' truck, not mine.

Sounds like a good idea... but where would the shop be physically located? So as to not leave people out... lol

Chris

With the abuse it took this winter, plus i was 1 coat down when it blew up the big runner and started having to drive it as was, i decided to paint it again.
so we've sanded it down, bondo'ed, primer'ed this time and shot it again... this time INSIDE... we got the first coat down last night, time for a little 400 wetsanding today, and the final coat will go on tonight. then some paint sealant and she'll be pretty again.
