A buddy of mine tore apart his '94 4Runner for a SAS and has a set of 4.56's free for me! Plus a spare set of axle shafts, front CV's, hubs, and calipers. According to the guys on YotaTech, the 3rd will bolt up to my housing and my axle shafts are the same spline count! Woot!

If I invest the money into an ARB right now for the 4.56's and have them set at the local gear shop.... can I pull the ARB out and reuse it in a set of 4.88's or 5.29's - whatever I end up with? If I'm looking at the pictures right, an ARB mounts to the ring gear which is always 8" for the rear axles isn't it?

yes as long as ur running it with the same size carrier n ring gear not sure bout yotas but like chevys it goes 3.73 and bigger gears run the same carrier where as smaller gears then 3.73 run a diff carrier.

joshua it was supposed to be that when you & rick switcheroo'd all the gears there would be some left over for me......i dont want to go 5.29 for fear of breaking...the 4.88's would be all that i need for now
