So my buddy got all F**ked up in a ditch at about 11:30p.m. the other night, he ended up hiking out for 4 or so hours, left the truck and was finally picked up by a cop. I volunteered at 8:30 the next morning to try to get the thing out.
So I drove the 60 miles to where it was and we went at it. My old Ramsey rep 8000 straight pulled the dodge out which blew my mind. I had to anchor to a tree on the other side of the road to stop my truck from being dragged in. Here are some pics of it after about an hour of winching. Pics don't do it justice at all and I wish we had the camera out when we first got there, cause she was in there !!...........

Look at my buddy in this one wait deep drifts on the side

Had to try about 10 different angles, because it just kept sliding further and further along the ditch

And my machine

I think that it took us about an hour and a half to get it out which I thought was pretty good. No real damage to speak of either, only the 3 broken straps :great:
And for the record he had no business being there out there and was just fucking around. Belive me when I say he learned his lesson.
Oh and check your diff fluid cause mine was half water and it froze, so when I dumped the clutch to get it out of my driveway it blew a 1" slice through the back of my housing. I did not know this when I left to go help. Apperently you can drive 40miles through the mountains @ 4500 rpm and not blow a thrid .
So we hammered it flat and welded it up at buddy's house, and filled it with fluid before carrying on to get the dodge. Seems to still be good to go, So I will play ignorant until something else rears it ugly head.:thewave:
