...that make it feel like Christmas in August.

Just ordered a Hi-Lift handle 'isolater'. The bungee cord I wrapped around the handle to keep it from rattling finally died... and it didn't really do it's job anyway.

And I also ordered a slider hi-lift adapter from The Wabbit man himself. He's got them on sale for $10 cheaper than normal right now. They are not toyota specific..... just a slider adapter. I suggest you all invest in one (or build one yourself if you've got the tools.)

I lifted my truck the other day by the sliders to do wheel bearings and brakes and it worked well on level ground WITHOUT the slider adapter.... but I could see how nice it would be to have one offroad.

i mean you can use a highlift offroad with out one sure.. but it makes it so much more stable and safer with one..

The locking mount is nice. I've got one on my roof rack.

The offroad base seems like a decent idea.... but the fact that it's made of plastic has always bothered me. It's probably more than strong enough, it just doesn't look it and I've never felt or seen one in action.

The hilift winch setup is sweet too. Someday I'll invest in all the chain needed to set it up like that.

I've got nothing but good things (on the trail and in the driveway) to say about lifting with a hilift. Use it responsibly and they are a very powerful tool.

How do you lift your rig for repairs and when you're stuck?

I get what codys saying and I agree with the scaring the **** out of me but most of the time that only when im at codys house or codys is the one using the hi lift huh weird  but ne ways like said above they are a very powerful tool can and will cause injury or even death all hes saying is be careful how you use them

yeah what brad said....I use them just dont like them I have never had ne thing break to where i needed one knock on wood I only broke 2 motors a motor mount did have a flat on my first rig and had to use it...brake lines some other small things...I use it then use logs as jack stands or if possibly flex the rig how i need it to work.

I have had one get stuck.... the climbing pins grabbed 2 holes right above each other and then it couldn't climb with weight on it... A buddy and I had to grab a pipe and kick the hi lift out from under the vehicle!

It was all good. No one got hurt, the vehicle rested back on it's body mounts. I now oil the thing before I use it cause it lives on top of my roof rack where the elements eat away at it. Hasn't gotten stuck since I started oiling it before use.
